Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT, Michael Pernice, Personal Trainer

Three questions with Mike Pernice.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business to provide unconventional hours, service and a passion to be a unique motivator to have people be the best they can be in their personal/professional lives.

Best selling product or service?

The selling feature of my business is 7 days a week, can be reached 24/7 and expertise in several areas of self-improvement.

I'm an expert in several areas of health and fitness including:

  • Strength training
  • Weight management
  • Lifestyle manager
  • Sports medicine/sports nutrition

What makes you a standout in your field?

I've been a trainer to reality stars from Millionaire Matchmaker, Biggest Loser. In addition, I was instrumental in helping ex-Mick Jagger gal pal  Brazilian supermodel Luciana Morad lose more than sixty pounds after giving birth to their child.

As a certified Lifestyle Manager my expertise has been called upon by people who struggle with behavior not productive to their personal lives and careers; coping with stress and time management, setting realistic goals, dealing with compulsive behavior, addressing self-image and weight management issues, and achieving personal/professional organization.
