Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Yoga By Danit!

Three questions with Danit Schreiber, owner of Yoga by Danit.

Why did you start your business?

I wanted to build an intimate community-based studio, a safe place where students could take a pause from their hectic lives and leave feeling rejuvenated and ready to face the world.

Best selling product/service?

Our Vinyasa flow classes are our most popular classes, although our meditation and yin/restorative classes also have strong followings.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

Our preference is to use local businesses as suppliers and to support local charities. For example, we use Alphagraphics in Greenwich for all our printing needs for marketing material. We buy supplies from local stores. We support local charities such as the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich and Neighbor To Neighbor of Greenwich.

Yoga By Danit is located in the Fred Astaire Dance Studio (2nd Floor) at 36 Sherwood Place in Greenwich.
