Library Café Update: interim food service in the Library Café through April 2020

I’m pleased to announce that Greenwich Library has contracted with Kevin Allmashy of Executive Corner Deli to provide interim food service in the Library Café through April 2020 following Elton's decision to terminate his service agreement. We are grateful to Elton for his many years of service to Greenwich Library.

Kevin has over 13 years of experience serving the Greenwich community, including a concession at the Byram pool. We are working with him to obtain the necessary Town permits and inspections to reopen the Library Café to the public as soon as possible.  

Our goal was to find a provider who would meet the needs of our many patrons with affordable options and comparable menu offerings, pricing, and hours of service.

Further, as part of the ReImagine project, the Library has established a committee that will consider the best format and business model for the renovated, new Café when it opens in the summer of 2020. Comprised of staff and trustees, and assisted by our food services consultant, this committee will develop a process for requesting and reviewing proposals from potential operators of the new Café.
