Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT C. Parker Gallery!

Three questions with Tiffany Benincasa, founder of C. Parker Gallery.

Why did you start your business?

I started C. Parker Gallery with the mission to connect people to the art world and to bring our community together. I love helping clients find the artwork they are seeking. The process should be informative, enjoyable and facilitate people achieving their goals. We frequently host fun exhibitions that bring our community together. Last year it was fantastic to work with Shreve, Crump and Low for the American Red Cross Ball. We are excited to work with the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich. We have always enjoyed supporting Greenwich Hospital, the Bruce Museum and the Greenwich Arts Council as well.

Finish this sentence in regard to your business: I wish I could...

I wish I could have a bigger space in our current location so we could share even more art and host even larger events. The demand is high, but so are the rents!

Do you use any local businesses to support your business?

I believe what is special about Greenwich is our community. I think to preserve that we all need to shop local and support one another. We love Splurge, Michelangelo, Minuteman Press, Threads and Treads, Food Design Catering, DJ April Larken and Post Wine and Spirits.
