Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Tambass Charters!
Three questions with Bobby Tambascio, Captain and Founder of Tambass Charters.
Why did you start your business?
Finish this sentence in regard to your business: I wish I could...
I wish I could run my business year-round. Here in the Northeast, we have a short season (May-November) when we see excellent fishing. During the winter season, the boats are out and we basically shut down. The minute the boat comes out in the fall we look forward to putting it back in the water in the spring!
Best selling product or service?
Our best selling service is our half-day fishing trip charters as well as our "Guide" trip service. On our half-day trips we host our clients on our boat and provide full service onboard, typically clients we fish with on our boat do own a boat of their own. We are able to provide this service to families, business partners, groups of friends and out of towner's passing by in the area who would like to enjoy the waters of western Long Island Sound and catch fish.
