Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT, Zaniac Greenwich!

Three questions with Flavia Naslausky, founder of Zaniac Greenwich.

Why did you start your business?

We started our business for two main reasons: first, we felt that there was a need for STEM Enrichment in our town and therefore saw it as a strong business opportunity. And, second, entrepreneurship was a good solution for a more balanced work-family life.

Finish this sentence in regard to your business. "I wish I could…"

I wish I could spend more time and resources on product development and marketing and on administrative and operational issues, which tends to be the major obstacle for small businesses.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services), and can you name them?

3Duxdesign, Lovely Cakes, Greco’s Bella Cucina, Sweet Lisa’s Bakery!
