Three questions with Yulia Omelich, founder of CODOGIRL™

Are you offering any new products or ways for customers to purchase your products or services that are popular during this crisis?

Our online designer consignment platform and marketplace have been extremely popular during this pandemic. It allows our clients to sell their designer fashion from the comfort and safety of their homes in as little as three easy steps. While we continue to safely provide in-person, private appointments at our showroom, we also offer virtual appointments for clients wishing to sell their designer items. Customers who wish to shop our collection of finely-curated authentic designer handbags, clothing, and accessories can do so on our website, where we offer free shipping and a 30-day return policy.

What do you want the community to know? Are there ways for the community to help you and other local businesses to prosper?

Greenwich downtown is one of the most well-recognized shopping and dining destinations in the country, and the diverse array of businesses and restaurants have made it so. We strongly believe in supporting local businesses and helping them survive these difficult times so they can continue to make Greenwich a hub in the future. We recommend shopping local if possible. Go out for dinner at a local restaurant in a safe, distanced manner. If you liked the service, leave an online review. Something so small means so much to a business.

We understand that not everyone has the ability to go out and shop local during the pandemic. Many were furloughed from their jobs or wish to not risk their health. Throughout the pandemic, we have been providing a service that makes money for our clients. It warms our hearts when we write checks out to our clients when their designer items sell, knowing that it will help them get through these tough times. For example, many of our clients are earning thousands of dollars selling their used Chanel bags with us, a great source of additional income during this pandemic.

Please share the ways your business is adapting to keep your customers and employees safe in addition to the standard guidelines

While we adhere to all of Connecticut’s COVID-19 safety guidelines, we actually practice stricter and safer policies in our showroom. We only allow a maximum of 2 clients at a time to ensure safety. We clean and disinfect all touchpoints throughout the day, and have made sure that each of our wonderful employees has their own designated office space where they can work in comfort and safety. Our heavy emphasis on online shopping and consignment is also aimed towards the safety of all of our customers, providing them a simple, safe, and enjoyable experience.

CODOGIRL nominates Applausi Osteria Toscana, an authentic Italian restaurant in Old Greenwich.

CODOGIRL is located at 55 Lewis St, Showroom in Greenwich. To learn more about their practices and to check out their new platform visit www.codogirl.com. Also, make sure to check out their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages as well!
