Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT SilverTek!
Three questions with Emily Solo from SilverTek.
Why did you start your business?
SilverTek, based in Greenwich Connecticut, has been a purveyor of advanced medical equipment and devices since 2016. Our brand is synonymous with fact-based science, sleek design, and first-in-class function.
What is your best-selling product/service?
We are known for our advanced, proprietary face mask, the NanoFit Mask! The NanoFit is infused with an award-winning Swedish antimicrobial silver treatment called ViralOff®, which is tested and certified to reduce viruses on the mask by over 99%.
Additionally, it is designed for maximum breathability and incorporates nanotechnology in its filtering system, which works better for longer than traditional filtration (even surgical masks and N95s). Our customers love our mask because of the comfortable, lightweight fit (in multiple sizes) that allows for easy breathing and doesn't fog their glasses!
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Yes, we support many local businesses, including Townhouse and Aux Delices who keep us going with delicious lunch and coffee! Alphagraphics Greenwich does most of our printing and Dr. Clothes Tailoring does excellent work when we need custom tailoring!
Emily Solo and SilverTek would love to nominate Townhouse (Dana Cifone) to be featured next!
SilverTek is located at 15 Sherwood Pl. in Greenwich. Visit SilverTek online here, and make sure to check out their Facebook and Instagram pages as well!
