Step inside Bruce Museum Store!

Four questions with Justine Matteis, manager of Bruce Museum Store.

The Bruce Museum Store offers a wide selection of unusual gifts, one-of-a-kind jewelry, accessories, fun and educational toys, rocks, minerals, fossils, stationery, exhibition catalogs and a wonderful selection of art books and more that relate to the Museum's exhibitions and programs.

Tell me about what's in store at Bruce Museum Store

The Bruce Museum Store is an integral part of the Bruce Museum experience. I have been fortunate enough to be the buyer for the store for the past 14 years.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Besides drawing visitors from all over we have an extremely loyal local customer base - our regulars always find the perfect card and unique gift here.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

One of my top jewelry vendors is Catherine Canino. She was born and raised in Stamford Connecticut. I have featured her work in the shop for the past ten years.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

Right now the Bruce is undergoing a huge expansion project. The New Bruce will have a larger shop with that same community vibe.
