Cos Cob's River House Adult Care at the Top of their Game

River House Adult Day Center was at the top of their game on Thursday night, July 22. Nearly 150 guests gathered inside and on the back patio at River House in Cos Cob, overlooking the Mianus River. People were glad to be together again to enjoy friendly conversation, fun and games, music by Cover Story and a silent auction. Scattered throughout the party, the games are part of the daily activities the River House staff and clients play throughout the week. Guests bid on silent auction items, a wine pull, and enjoyed playing Cornhole, Indoor Croquet, Indoor Soft Volleyball, Mini Golf and other games while they were served cocktails and hors d'oeuvres throughout the evening.

"We are so grateful to the people who attended, playing games and being together again, helping to provide scholarships for the people who need us. ," Donna Spellman, Executive Director said. "We're not only here for our clients, we're here for their caregivers and family as well."

The staff and volunteers at River House have been an important resource for families and caregivers who need extra help during the day, especially during COVID. Taking all safety precautions, they were lifesavers for so many.

All proceeds  from the evening’s event will help provide scholarship funding for clients of River House in their “Fund-A-Client” Scholarship fund.
