Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Biscuit and Bones!

Adrienne and Joe are the founders of Biscuit and Bones.

Tell me about how Biscuit and Bones started

Biscuit and Bones started out of necessity. A friend asked Chef and co-owner, Joe Pace if he would prepare an all-natural dog food for his dog, who was suffering from skin allergies, snoring, and just overall compromised health. Chef Pace researched for months what foods and what type of diet would best serve a dog.

Beefy Feast All-Natural Dog Food For Dogs was the result of sound research and a desire to see dogs eat healthy foods. Adrienne Pace, wife of Joe is the co-owner of Biscuit and Bones.

Adrienne and Joe participate in local farmers' markets and dog-centered events selling all-natural treats and dog food, as well as offering Biscuit and Bones products online at www.biscuitandbones.com. Folks can also follow Biscuit and Bones on Instagram (@biscuitandbones) and Facebook.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Biscuits and Bones always sell out of the CBD All-Natural Biscuits For Dogs, as well as the All-Natural Beef Jerky, All-Natural Turkey Jerky, and, of course, the All-Natural Beefy Feast For Dogs. Our loyal customers who order online, tend to purchase the Beefy Feast once a month, but in sizable quantities. We have several customers that keep us busy with their orders of at least 30 pounds of Beefy Feast each, month!

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

Biscuit and Bones “reimagines’ the business often. When we first started in 2018 we were not expecting the dog food to sell so well and so quickly. We have had to adjust our daily work schedules to accommodate our steady flow of orders. Additionally, we had to think outside the box when offering new products to our customers.

We started selling CBD All-Natural Biscuits For Dogs because we saw a demand, and our customers wanted an organic CBD product that was beneficial to a dog. We will continue to “reimagine” the business to best serve our customers.

Adrienne and Joe would like to nominate DoughGirls Pizza to be featured next!
