Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Constantino's!

Four questions with Robyn Bordes, founder of Constantino's - Pizza and Ice Cream.

Why did you start your business?

My husband and I have such a love for the restaurant industry and after selling a restaurant that I was a part of for the last 20 years, I knew the moment I sold it, that I needed to open another.

What is your best-selling product/service?

The top selling products are the 4 corner Sicilian pizza, Elainie's Chicken Martini, and Roque's Blue Ice.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

As many as I possibly can. The foundation of our restaurant and concept is built on family so we must support family-owned businesses.

Have you reimagined your small business?

We have thought of ways to grow it more. We are adding breakfast starting after Labor Day this September. We will be adding a Constantino's pizza truck in the first quarter of 2023 and we are looking to expand our pizzeria to more locations over the next 5 years in NY, NJ, CT, and possibly California.

Constantino's is located at 699 W. Putnam Ave. in Greenwich. Visit Constantino's online here, and make sure to check out their Facebook and Instagram pages as well!
