Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT The Pampered Pup Patisserie!

Three questions with Cheryl, founder of The Pampered Pup Patisserie.

Why did you start your business?

We have always been concerned with providing our own pampered pups with healthy treats. We discovered that while there are healthier dog food options, there are very few healthy treatment options. The majority of treats contain fillers, additives, and other "nasties." After much research, and consulting with widely respected veterinarians and pet healthcare professionals, I began creating recipes and baking healthy, organic dog treats, pastries, and cakes.

It became my new passion. Our furry friends saw the tasty treats and began requesting some for themselves. That’s when I decided to share our delectable canine confections with the world and established The Pampered Pup Patisserie.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Our custom barkday/gotcha cakes and party planning are extremely popular! We work with pawrents to create the pawfect cake and pawty for their pampered pup!

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

Before founding The Pampered Pup Patisserie, we met with local veterinarians and animal healthcare professionals. As a new business, we continue to grow and partner with other local businesses. We are fans of Spot On Veterinary Hospital and Hotel, Neon Dog, Greenwich Girl, and Gofer Ice Cream.

Cheryl and her team would like to nominate Frattaroli Development to be featured next!
