Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT The College Voter!
Three questions with Valerie Cella, founder of The College Voter.
Why did you start your business?
I started The College Voter in 2020 because I recognized that while at university there existed multiple divisions between students who voted, students who didn’t vote, and students who deeply cared about one side, or the other. With the cacophony of opinions, voting as a core component of elections suffered. Therefore, I started The College Voter to highlight what matters to college students and provide verifiable sources of information that are relevant to issues my age group cares about.
What is your best-selling product/service?
I believe the best service I provide is those sources of information. We collect new sources from dozens of different providers, but we sort through them to make sure that they are not only true but relevant today. These new sources are updated daily, which provides a constant stream of important information from all sides of the political spectrum.
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
Valerie would like to nominate The Morgagni Medical Society to be featured next!
