Greenwich Police Chief Heavey presented Officer Alan Pesce with his Master Patrol Officer badge. MPO Pesce is now permanently assigned to the position after a 6 month probationary period.
MPO's are the leaders and mentors of their fellow police officers. They have been specially trained to handle every situation and act as field specialist during critical incidents. To reach this level officers must have demonstrated both a high degree of competency an have earned the trust of supervisors and colleagues. The Department has 10 Master Patrol Officer positions and each shift has MPOs assigned for duty.
