Wooster School 7th Grade Student of the Month: Karelin Dominguez

Written by Middle School Dean of Students, Andrew Wright

The seventh grade September student of the month has indeed demonstrated the core values embodied in our school prayer.

Since this student's arrival to the Middle School, it has been observed that she continuously practices appropriate manners, an ongoing concern for the well-being of her peers, and has established a respectful demeanor towards her teachers.

During school she demonstrates a comprehensive approach towards understanding expectations for jobs, classes, citizenship, and a qualified student of the month.

This student has been known to come to school with all of the necessary materials and supplies for each class, ready to tackle any and all academic challenges placed before her.

I have spoken with several of this individual's teachers, unanimously, they all have observed that this student never causes a distraction or allows a distraction to veer her from being focused/attentive when required. This has been demonstrated during class, morning meetings, jobs, and right here in chapel.

The teachers of this student have gone on to describe this person as being extremely polite and thoughtful. She always says thank you, good morning, uses a respectful tone of voice while speaking, rarely aggressive, and has maintained a personality that attracts her peers to want to laugh and share humorous jokes.

Recently, I had the pleasure of speaking with this student's father. I explained that his daughter will be announced as September's student of the month and asked that he share his thoughts and feelings.

He had this to say, "I am very proud of Karelin, she works hard and has a good heart. Her family is proud of her and thank you for recognizing that."

Let us congratulate Karelin Dominguez for being our September student of the month.
