Whether we are very young or wise to the ways of the world, every so often each of has to “get back to the House at Pooh Corner” to spend some tender time with faithful friends.
The Ridgefield Playhouse and Ridgefield Academy Family Series invites you to go deep into the magical Hundred Acre Wood for an adventure with Christopher Robin, Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Owl, and Tigger on Saturday, May 6 at 11 am and 2 pm. From discovering what to feed Tigger (no haycorns, no honey, no thistles) to playing Poohsticks over the bridge, the friends are bound only by their childhood imaginations. This delightful musical teaches important lessons about truth and friendship. In the end, Christopher Robin tells Pooh, “Pooh, promise me you won’t forget about me, ever. Not even when I’m a hundred.” “How old shall I be then?” asks Pooh. “Ninety-nine.” Pooh replies with, “I promise.” Indeed, a child and his bear will always be playing. Adapted by Bettye Knapp for the Virginia Repertory Theatre, this production is faithfully based on the A.A. Milne classic of the same name.
