Take the AAA Driver Improvement Workshop to relearn the basics of defensive driving and learn current driving practices. According to state law, Connecticut drivers who complete the class and are 60 years old* and older are eligible to receive a 5% discount** on their auto insurance. The workshop is not a driver education workshop for novice drivers but one that’s aimed at drivers with several years of experience who wish to improve or refresh their driving skills.
*Some insurance companies offer this discount starting at age 55 so be sure to contact your insurance carrier. **The discount does not cover uninsured motorist coverage, rental reimbursements nor towing or labor costs. Check with your insurer for details.
