
STEM Jr. ENGINEERS Workshop: EARTHQUAKE SIMULATOR on Tuesday, August 13 from 5:00 - 6:30pm
In Earthquake Simulator, students explore how buildings can be designed to be stronger and safer by testing different size structures and the factors that can help make them resistant to earthquakes.
The class will explore the origin and nature of earthquakes; learn about plate tectonics; discuss the difference in philosophies of skyscraper designs in different countries and finally build a Robotic Earthquake Simulator to shake and test their building designs.
