The Women's Center Celebrates Ridgefield Resident Glori Norwitt

"An Evening Together"

Celebrating Glori Norwitt

Women's Center Board Chair

2011-2019

Join us in celebration of Glori Norwitt's eight years as the Chair of the Women's Center's Board of Directors. First joining the Women’s Center as a hotline volunteer in 2008, Glori Norwitt was certified to perform crisis intervention for domestic violence and sexual assault.  After two years of volunteering on the hotline, she joined the Board of Directors and began chairing this very Annual Dinner, which she continued for 5 years.  After one year on the Board, she became Chairperson, serving for 8 years before stepping down from the role this past January.  She now serves as the Secretary of the Board.

During her tenure as Chairperson, the Women’s Center created the group Men Against Domestic & Sexual Violence, began an Enrichment Campaign, and greatly expanded development, from events to the number of new and retained donors.

In addition to her volunteer work with the Women’s Center, Glori is Chairperson of the Board of Connecticut Against Gun Violence Education Fund, a 501(c)3 whose mission is to educate the public on how to prevent gun violence.  Further, she is a Commissioner for the Economic and Community Development Commission for the Town of Ridgefield.  She also serves as the Recruiting Chair of the Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee, and on the Advisory Council of Ms. President US, a nonprofit which motivates and prepares girls to aim for the highest civic leadership positions.

Glori lives in Ridgefield with her husband Adam and two kids Jonah and Ella.
