Entrance to Danbury Museum and Railway Museum FREE for Kids this Summer!

Children 18 years old and under explore Connecticut museums for free this summer.

Danbury Museum is thrilled to announce our participation in the #CTSummerMuseums initiative. From July 1 through September 4, 2021, guided tours of the Danbury Museum will be FREE for all visitors. Book your tour (at least 48 hours in advance) for Wednesday - Saturday, 12 - 4 on Eventbrite.

Danbury Railway Museum is also offering FREE admission for kids this summer! Located in the heart of Danbury, Connecticut. The museum's fully restored train station, built in 1903, houses a collection of historically significant artifacts and a research library covering railroading’s rich heritage in New England and the northeast United States. Just behind the station is an extensive rail yard, featuring over 60 pieces of historic railroad equipment and rolling stock.

Connecticut Summer at the Museum is made possible through an investment from the federal COVID-19 recovery funding that Connecticut is receiving from the American Rescue Plan Act. The program is administered by the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development’s Office of the Arts in partnership with Connecticut Humanities.
