Danbury Named Top 100 Best Places to Live in the U.S. in 2023

This week, Danbury was named one of the Best Cities to Live in America by Livability.

For the past 10 years, Livability editors have combined their unique data to create an annual list of the Top 100 Best Places To Live in the U.S. Cities with a population between 75,000 and 500,000 are evaluated on affordability, amenities, economy, education, environment, health, housing, safety, and transportation.

“I am extremely proud that Danbury has been named one of the Top 100 Best Places to Live in the U.S. It is clear that our strong economy, high-quality healthcare network, and the safe environment we’ve created for our residents is not only the envy of Connecticut, but the envy of the rest of the country. I want to thank my administration for working each day to make Danbury the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”

Livability noted that “Danbury is home to a charming downtown, excellent schools and a thriving arts community, and residents have easy access to New York City. Danbury’s endless roster of things to do and its relative affordability make it the perfect place to settle down and plant roots.”
