Candlewood Lake is one of Danbury's gems, and the Candlewood Lake Authority promotes responsible recreation, conservation, and stewardship for the largest lake in the state of Connecticut.
Danbury, Brookfield, New Fairfield, Sherman and New Milford are the five municipalities surrounding the lake, and the Authority ensures that these towns work together to preserve Candlewood for generations to enjoy.
