The Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut has announced awardees for the Annual Business Supports the Arts Awards Breakfast.

Arts in the Community Award
Dee Dee Colabella, Ridgefield

Colabella is the owner of 068 Magazine and RPAC Art Center and Academy, RPAC Gallery, D. Colabella Fine Art Gallery, and founder of the non-profit ArtFul Visual Arts Initiative. She is being honored for her exceptional contributions to arts and culture in Ridgefield as an entrepreneur and business leader.

Arts Impact Life Award
Wendy Cahill, Owner of Molten Java, Bethel

Molten Java is exceptional in its support for art and culture and community building. Through Cahill’s leadership, Molten Java provides a welcoming space that fosters creativity for all, including the LGBTQ and other marginalized communities.

Mary Rindfleisch Heart of Arts Award
Olga Meija, Danbury

An extraordinary volunteer in the community who is committed to engage children through the arts, Meija promotes creativity and strives to preserve culture in our region. She understands the importance of arts and culture for learning and development with young people.

“We’re gathering local businesspeople to celebrate and recognize the outstanding contributions made by individuals and organizations in supporting the arts,” said Cultural Alliance Executive Director Lisa Scails. “The annual breakfast provides an opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, business leaders, and artists who share a passion for promoting and sustaining the arts in our communities.”

The breakfast, with Union Savings Bank as a supporting sponsor, will be held on Oct. 12 at 7:30 a.m. at The Amber Room Colonnade, 1 Stacey Road, Danbury, CT 06810.
