Today, Mayor Dean Esposito released the following statement thanking Danbury’s firefighters for their rapid response during recent extreme weather events.
“Over the last few weeks, Danbury’s firefighters have mobilized in response to several flash flooding and extreme weather events. I want to thank the City of Danbury Fire Department and our many Volunteer Fire Companies who were on call to keep Danbury’s residents safe,” said Mayor Esposito.
In addition to weather-related events, Danbury firefighters also responded to a fast moving house fire and a fatal car crash within the last week.
“Danbury’s firefighters are the best in the state, and I am extremely grateful for their dedication to protecting our city,” added Mayor Esposito.
