This Week in the City Mayor Dean Esposito is joined by Antonio Iadarola, City of Danbury Director of Public Works and City Engineer, Tom Hughes, City of Danbury Superintendent of Construction Services, and Katina Asmani, Principal of Morris Street Elementary School, to highlight Morris Street Elementary School’s brand-new playground!
The new Morris Street playground is part of a citywide playground replacement program. In the last 9 years, the City of Danbury has dedicated $2.4 million to upgrading and replacing playground equipment in our schools and $1.1 million to do the same in our public parks.
At Morris Street, we did a complete replacement of the playground equipment and swing sets, and built out ADA compliant playground designs to help all of our students develop mentally and physically.
