Mayor Dean Esposito Announces City of Danbury has been Recognized as a Recipient of GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

Today, Mayor Dean Esposito is proud to announce the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has named Danbury as a recipient of GFOA's Distinguished Budget presentation Award for its FY23-24 budget.

The award represents a significant achievement by the City of Danbury. It reflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to receive the budget award, the entity had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation.

“I’m proud of the tremendous work of the Danbury Finance Department in receiving this honor from the Government Finance Officers Association. Once again, Danbury is recognized as a leader in our budget presentation, as the City of Danbury has received this honor for the past twenty years,” said Mayor Dean Esposito.
