Support Danbury Nonprofits on Giving Tuesday!

Thanksgiving - check. Black Friday - check. Cyber Monday - check. Today, November 28 is GivingTuesday, a global movement of “radical generosity” unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Consider giving LOCAL. There are so many worthy nonprofits right here in Danbury that are changing the world for the better - on a daily basis! These nonprofits are helping residents with disabilities, bringing art, music, dance, theater and even Broadway to our community (and beyond), providing services and programs to senior citizens and children, rescuing pets, and keeping us healthy. Let's help them continue to fulfill their important missions!

GivingTuesday is now celebrated locally in nearly 100 countries and serves as a time to celebrate the powerful impact of nonprofit organizations whose work is saving lives and helping people to reach their full potential every day of the year.

Once again, the Bill and Meilinda Yates foundation is the lead supporter of this this growing movement.
