Danbury Mayor Alves announces two new appointments

State Rep. Farley Santos and Campaign Manager Francesca Capodilupo to join Mayor’s Office

Mayor Roberto L. Alves today announced two appointments to his office. State Representative Farley Santos as Community Relations and Constituent Services Advisor, and Francesca Capodilupo as Government Affairs and Communications Advisor.

“I’m excited to announce two new staff members today,” said Mayor Alves. “Farley Santos brings a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime of community engagement and service to Danbury. Our community knows Farley and how hard he works on our behalf in the State Legislature. Having that level of experience on my team is a critical part of our mission to ensure that the City of Danbury, the fastest growing city in the state, is at the forefront of everyone’s mind,” continued Alves.

Representative Santos spent over 15 years at the Savings Bank of Danbury and was Vice President, Community Development Manager, and Bank Ambassador, and was elected to the Connecticut House of Representatives in 2022. Prior to his service with the State, he served on the Danbury City Council and Board of Education. Since being elected State Representative in 2022, Santos has delivered over $20 million to the city.

“Working with government entities across the state for most of her career, Francesca brings an unmatched skillset to our team. Her expertise in communications will bring a new level of transparency and accessibility to the Mayor’s Office, the constituents, and key stakeholders across our city,” concluded Alves.

Francesca Capodilupo has spent over 17 years as a political consultant with an extensive background in policy and communications. She served as the Alves campaign manager in 2021 and 2023 and has also managed CT Congressman Jim Himes’ campaign in the 4th Congressional District since 2021. Previously, Francesca taught at Fordham University in the Elections and Campaign Management Master’s Program and is Faculty at The Campaign School at Yale.
