Services planned for Danbury resident Kevin J. Haley, 57, retired Sales and Operations Manager for Tech Air

Kevin J. Haley, 57, of Danbury, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

Kevin was born in Beaverton, Oregon on June 29, 1966; a son of the late John (Jack) and Carol Jean (Purden) Haley. He enjoyed his early years in California, Michigan and Georgia before moving to Ridgefield in 1978. He had an active childhood filled with basketball, baseball, football, friends, and mischief with his two brothers. He graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1984 and then went on to attend Southern Connecticut State University where he majored in Business and was a member of Phi Alpha Omega fraternity.

A resident of the Danbury/Ridgefield area for 45 years, Kevin was a retired Sales and Operations Manager for Tech Air, a family business, where he was well respected by his employees and customers. Kevin was an avid golfer, tennis player, and devoted father, and was famously known as the unofficial “mayor” of the Rivington community in Danbury, where he lived for 5 years. His favorite memories came from family trips ranging from California to Chicago to Cape Cod, getaways to Myrtle Beach with his golf buddies, and the annual visit to an amusement park on Father’s Day with his daughter to ride the coasters. He enjoyed retired life to the fullest and could always be found entertaining his multitude of friends with a smile on his face.

Kevin is survived by his daughter, Julia, his former wife, Katy, as well as his brothers, Lawrence Haley and his wife, Melanie and Brian Haley. In addition, Kevin is survived by his nephew, Jonathan, his niece, Lani and his favorite dog, Carter. He was predeceased by his nephew Michael Haley.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home; 9 Granville Avenue, Danbury. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Saint Elizabeth Seton Church; 520 Ridgebury Road, Ridgefield. Interment will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery; 110 North Street, Ridgefield.
