Western Connecticut State University's May 2013 commencement ceremonies will feature remarks by Fairfield County Community Foundation President and CEO Juanita James, Newtown Superintendent of Schools Dr. Janet Robinson and Newtown First Selectman Pat Llodra.
James, a trustee of Lesley University in Massachusetts and a trustee emerita of Princeton University, will deliver the commencement address at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 10, at WCSU's graduate ceremony in the Feldman Arena of the William A. O'Neill Athletic and Convocation Center on the university's Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. The public is invited.
The undergraduate ceremony, at which Robinson and Llodra will receive the President's Medal and share remarks, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 12, at the Westside Athletic Stadium on the Westside campus. The ceremony will take place rain or shine and the public is invited.
