Says event promoter Dennis Perkins, “I’ve loved boxing since I was 7 years old. The entire Perkins family and there are a lot of them in the Danbury area are boxing fans. So come on down and enjoy a night of Championship boxing.”

Referring to his passion for the sport, Perkins says,” Now I am able to help others reach their dreams, in and out of the ring. The sport brings out the true toughness of character in athletes…the dedication required to be able to restrict diet and cut extreme amounts of weight, all the while being able to come into fight night energized.  I commend these athletes for their strong will and love of our sport .”

The beneficiary for the evening is the Latino Scholarship Fund which helps further the education of local youths. “Without organizations through the community to help raise the money we could not sustain our activities and we’d like to thank Dennis and all of our area donors,” says Abigail Kopp, President of the Executive Board.
