Meyer Jabara Hotels: Ending Childhood Poverty One Red Nose at a Time

The Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa, part of the Meyer Jabara Hotels portfolio of hotels, shares the company belief you can make a positive impact in your community by giving back and serving others.

On May 24, Meyer Jabara Hotel employees in dozens of the company’s branded and boutique hotels throughout the country donned red noses and participated in Red Nose Day, a fundraising campaign run by the non-profit organization Comic Relief Inc. “Simple yet powerful, visible and playful, the Red Nose has always been our symbol. It brings us together, breaks down barriers, and reminds us of the power of laughter,” Comic Relief explains.

Hotel founders Richard Jabara, a resident of Ridgefield, and William Meyer believe that “footprints matter”. They explain,”The difference between being a good business and an amazing business can be found in the company's footprints made by giving back and serving others.”

Red Nose Day, launched in the US in 2015, is dedicated to ending child poverty, both in the US and in some of the poorest communities in the world. The money raised by Red Nose Day in the US has benefited programs for children and young people in all 50 states and in 34 countries internationally. Globally, Red Nose Day has raised over $1 billion since its launch in the UK in 1988.

Meyer Jabara Hotels, headquartered in Danbury, owns and operates a diverse portfolio of 20 branded and boutique hotels with more than 4,300 rooms in 10 states.
