Danbury, Make the Season Merry for Military Families

Danbury residents are invited to make the holiday season merry for our local military families whose loved one are on the front lines fighting for our country.

Operation E.L.F. (Embracing Lonely Families) is currently accepting donations of new unwrapped toys for children of all ages as well as gift cards for grocery, department stores, and gas stations. The donation of fuel oil, snow removal, and home maintenance services are also accepted and will support military families beyond the holiday season.

According to Operation E.L.F, over 350 Connecticut National Guardsmen are currently in the deployment cycle, with approximately 110 Guardsmen currently serving overseas and another 170 preparing to deploy in support of operations around the world.

Gift card donations and new unwrapped gifts may be dropped off through December 10, 2018 at one of the drop-off locations listed below between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The drop off center(s) within 15 miles of Danbury:
