On June 4th at their monthly meeting, the Danbury City Council approved a donation of $300,000 to the City of Danbury for a new animal shelter, donated by Councilman Warren Levy in honor of his late wife Ellen Levy.
Mayor Boughton will officially accept the donation from Councilman Levy at the Danbury Animal Control Facility on Plumtrees Road this Monday, June 24th at 10am. Chief Ridenhour and the Animal Control staff will also be there to accept the generous donation.
