Kiwanis Club of Greater Danbury will be Graham Dickinson SPIRIT Skate Park in Ridgefield for Make Music Day, Sunday, June 21 from 12 - 6 collecting donated instruments for their Kiwanis is INSTRUMENTAL in Children’s Lives program
INSTRUMENTAL in Children’s Lives works with local schools to refurbish these instruments so they can be used for children who cannot afford the rentals fees. Instruments in any condition will be accepted.
Make Music Day is an international movement that brings free, community-wide, outdoor musical celebrations to hundreds of cities worldwide! Every year, the celebration is held on June 21, the summer solstice, in more than 1000 communities around the world.
This year the Make Music Day Organization has risen to the challenge of making the event safe for all by creating a number of virtual events to participate in, from the Young Composer Contest to Bedroom Studios.
