A Perfect Fall Weekend for Safe Walk, Annual 4K Goes Virtual, Still Time to Support The Women's Center!

Safe Walk, a 4K to benefit the Women's Center was virtual this weekend and locals took to the streets, sidewalks, and parks, walking, running, and strolling to support the Danbury-based nonprofit.

The weather could not have been more perfect, and although not gathered under one roof inside Danbury Fair Mall, participants, clad in purple and wearing Safe Walk masks, were connected and joined solidarity by way of social media.

The photo you see here (courtesy of The Women's Center) shows Safe Walk chair, Kathy Graham of Ridgefield, getting 4K ready with her family!

If you're reading this thinking, darn, I forgot, or I wish I knew, don't fret! You can STILL support The Women's Center's Safe Walk by making a donation HERE.

As always, the money raised from this event stays in our community and is used to support the Women's Center's FREE programs and services.

Thank you to Safe Walk sponsors: Laura & Irv Becker, Fairfield County Bank, Liz & Steve Goldstone (Goldstone Foundation), Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church, Ridgefield Lions Club, Rotary Club of Ridgefield.

The mission of the Women's Center is to serve the needs of individuals, families and the community with prevention, crisis intervention and support services with regard to domestic violence, sexual assault and other major life crises.
