Danbury Fair Mall’s first annual “Shop, Sip and Stroll” event will take place Thursday, July 14, from 4 – 8pm and will benefit Housatonic Habitat for Humanity.
The event will feature wine and beer tastings, entertainment, raffles, special sales and giveaways. The event will start in the Center Court and spread throughout the lower level of the mall.
All proceeds from this event will go to Housatonic Habitat’s “Brush with Kindness” program. This all-volunteer initiative offers free basic home improvements for low-income seniors and veterans to enable them to safely “age in place.” To offer home repairs free of charge, the program relies on volunteers, private funding and corporate donations.
"We recently expanded our Brush with Kindness program to include free basic home repairs for both seniors and veterans on fixed incomes," says Habitat Construction Manager Peter Arcoma. "These extra funds will enable us to take on even more projects to help seniors in our community."
Tickets are $20 per person, children 12 and under are free, and can be purchased here
