Shred old documents at Farmers Insurance, Dennis Perkins Agency on May 20

Shredding your old documents is a good way to protect yourself. Recycling those old documents helps to protect the environment.

When you bring your documents to be shredded on May 20 at the Farmers Insurance-Dennis Perkins Agency, 30 Germantown Road, you will also have the opportunity to support the Latino Scholarship Fund, a local nonprofit that helps Latino students afford college.

A mobile shred truck will destroy all the paper you want to dump at no cost. Visitors may donate to the Latino Scholarship Fund if they wish.

“Our agency is providing a professional company, Shred Smart, to shred our clients’ confidential documents,” said agency owner Dennis Perkins. “We would like to also extend this service to all residents in towns where we provide insurance counseling. We are privileged to make this available.”

All donations will benefit the Latino Scholarship Fund, which has been helping high school students in Fairfield County and New Milford attend college for over 20 years. As a board member, I'm proud to say that our efforts have helped raise the college attendance rate for Latino students from under 10% to over 80% at Danbury High School. Be a part of this incredible success story by bringing your documents to shred and support Latino students' college education. Need more information? Please contact Dennis Perkins at (203) 983-5534 or dperkins@farmersagent.com.
