Danbury Symphony Orchestra Young People's Concert

The Danbury Symphony Orchestra's Annual Young People's Concert. The DSO will be joined by special guests, the Danbury Centre Strings.
A FREE CONCERT FOR THE YOUNG and YOUNG AT HEART on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 3pm at Ives Concert Hall, WCSU (181 White Street, Danbury). 

Featuring the winner of the 20th Annual Student Concerto Competition, Harry Tao, Cello The Danbury Centre Strings will start things off with a mix of music including Piazzolla's, "Libertango" & Lin-Manuel Miranda's, "Music from Encanto".

You will be inspired by cellist Harry Tao, who will perform a movement of Saint Sans', "Cello Concerto No. 1". You will also hear music from Carl Nielsen's, "Aladdin Suite", Alan Menken's, "Aladdin", Ethan Winer's, "Saturday Night", and a symphonic version of Freddy Mercury's, "Bohemian Rhapsody" with Maestro Rudiakov on electric viola!

Parking on 5th Avenue next to White Hall where the Ives Concert Hall is located.

This concert is made possible thanks to funding by the Danbury Cultural Commission.

Admission is free. Donations are gratefully accepted at the door.
