Danbury Resident Mildred A. (Peknik) Torielli, RN, 94, has Died

Mildred A. (Peknik) Torielli, RN, 94, of Danbury, wife of the late John "Jack" Torielli, Jr. died at her home on Monday, November 21, 2022.

Mrs. Torielli was born in Danbury on February 21, 1928, a daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Fako) Peknik. She attended Danbury schools, graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1946 and the Danbury Hospital School of Nursing.

A registered nurse, Mrs. Torielli was employed at the Danbury Hospital and the Danbury Nurses' Registry.

She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Church.

Mrs. Torielli is survived by two sons, John "Jackie" Torielli, III and his wife Cathy, and David Torielli and his wife Deborah, a sister, Anna Blackman, four grandchildren, Emilie, Camille, Michael, and Jessica, four great-grandchildren, Dillon, Caleb, Audrey and Enza, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Torielli was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Edward Peknik, and by a sister Kristine Jacobellis.

A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gregory the Great Church at a day and time will be announced. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury
