Our mission is to break the grip of emotional isolation that is killing our young people. We do this by expanding and delivering measurable, science-based programs that fill critical gaps and equip America’s youth with the skills they need to thrive.

-Pam Martin, RADical Hope Co-Founder

Founded by Bossidy’s daughter and son-in-law Pam and Phil Martin in honor of their son, Chris who died by suicide in the fall of 2017, RADical Hope Foundation’s charge is to break the grip of emotional isolation that is claiming the lives of our youth.

On November 29, 2022, the nonprofit will hold its second annual event at the Union League Club in New York City, raising funds toward this critical mission. New York University Vice Chancellor, Linda Mills will be honored with the Christopher Martin Award for student mental health over the last two decades.

Special guests include Larry Fitzgerald, Jr., former NFL wide receiver. Dave Price, WNBC Weather Anchor will serve as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies.

Once again, Ridgefield resident and artist Tina Cobelle-Sturges has created a piece of art symbolic of the nonprofit’s mission. “All Around Us” is a 48x60 oil on canvas original painting. In 2021, Sturges painting raised $60,000 for RADical Hope Foundation.

RADical Hope has successfully given 10,000 students the tools to help with the increase of social disconnection college students are feeling like never before. The students in the program have given it rave reviews, with 87% recommending it to other students. Their goal is to reach 1 million kids, and do it while making sure there is zero cost to the institutions or kids participating in the program.

The pandemic has only magnified the urgency to help our young people and the need for RADical Hope.

According to a new BestColleges.com 2022 survey, 95% of college students have experienced negative mental health symptoms as a result of COVID-19 and nearly half (46%) of those who responded reported feeling isolated and lonely and close to one-third (32%) experienced feelings of hopelessness.

RADical Hope identifies, develops and funds proven frontline engagement programs that deliver on its mission priorities: Connectivity, Engagement, Emotional Intelligence, Empowerment and Sustainability.

The community is invited to bid on an array of live auction items. Please stay tuned for details on the bidding process and a complete list of items.
