This Week in the City: Danbury Mayor Dean Esposito Talks Memorial Day Parade and Thanks Veterans for Serving our Country

This Week in the City, Mayor Dean Esposito is joined by the Danbury Council of Veterans to discuss the upcoming Memorial Day parade and activities in Danbury.

The Danbury Council of Veterans holds ceremonies and events throughout the year to honor and remember the veterans who lost their lives serving our county.

The Memorial Day Parade has been held for over 100 years, and this year it falls on Monday, May 29th at 9:30am.

Other Memorial Day activities include a memorial service at 6:30am at St. Joseph’s Church, followed by the placing of wreaths at the war monuments throughout the city. After the parade, there will be a memorial ceremony in the Rogers Park Rose Memorial to honor our deceased veterans.
