
Three children and one woman were found dead in a home on Whaley Street in Danbury last evening, NBC Connecticut is reporting.
Police were called to the home around 6:30 p.m. for a wellness (well-being) check, and found three children between the ages of five and 12 deceased inside, according to the report. The children are believed to be related, according to NBC.
The body of the woman was found dead in the home's outside shed.
Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour told NBC News in Ct it appears to be an isolated incident and there is no immediate threat to the public. There was a heavy police presence in the area throughout the evening.
"We're not going to leave any stone unturned. I don't want to get ahead of ourselves. We have a pretty good idea of what happened but we just don't want to confirm that at this point," Ridenhour told NBC Connecticut.
This is an ongoing investigation and Danbury Police had not released the names of the deceased at this time.
