Danbury Library hosts Tea Day on Friday

Danbury Libraray is calling all tea drinkers! Tea Day is Friday, April 21 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Danbury Library.

What’s better than a freshly brewed cup of tea!  Join us in celebrating Tea Day with at talk by Jim Harron, co-founder of the Simpson & Vail, Inc., located in Brookfield, CT.  The company is one of the oldest tea companies in the United States. 

Attendees will learn about:

  • The History of tea - old and new
  • How to brew the perfect cup of tea
  • What to look forward to in the future of tea

Questions and answers will follow the presentation.

Presenter:

In 1978, Jim Harron and his wife Joan purchased Simpson & Vail, Inc.  and moved it from New York City to Brookfield, CT.  Since that time, two of their children have joined the family business which currently carries over 280 teas, 150 herbal tisanes, and accessories.
