Holy Trinity Christmas Fair Celebrates 40th Year, Nov. 17 & 18

Now in its 40th year, the Annual Christmas Fair at Holy Trinity in Sherman is the place to be for holiday shopping and good cheer. What’s more, there are plenty of new surprises in store that will delight everyone, young and old.

Doors open Friday, November 17, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the event continues Saturday, November 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Browse hand-crafted products made by several local artisans. Some of the favorite gift-giving options include chocolate covered fruits by Dana’s Dipped Delights, maple syrup from Soukup Farms, trendy custom-made energy bead bracelets by KVelez Collection, hypoallergenic Alpaca products made with Alpaca fiber by Butternut Alpacas, Christmas trees and holiday candles made by Barbara, personalized beaded accessories by Jodi, Christmas wreaths by Gerilyn, crocheted animals by Jackie, crocheted dog sweaters by Linda, jewelry by Jo, and made-to-order name plaques by Angela. For pet lovers, there’s a new St. Francis specialty table that’s just perfect for furry friends.

Back by popular demand are also cookies by the pound, handmade candies, and the Curiosity Shop where there’s something for everyone.

Children will especially enjoy making holiday arts & crafts for their loved ones in Santa’s brand-new “Satellite Workshop.”

Also new this year is a Wheel of Fortune where everyone wins. A one-week stay at a gorgeous home in Orlando, Florida, just five miles away from Disney’s Magic Kingdom, is the Grand Raffle prize. A day pass to a local ski resort for a family of four is the Baby Grand Raffle prize.

Take a chance on the Silent Auction with “buy me now” prices, raffles for specialty items and baskets, hourly raffle gift baskets, and a 50/50 raffle, too.

On Saturday only, the parish’s beloved “Grumpy Old Man” will be serving homemade chili and corn chowder from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Shhh… it’s a secret. Mr. and Mrs. Clause will be special guests at the fair. Mrs. Claus will read a holiday story to the children on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Children’s activities will include hot cocoa and cookies on Friday night or include decorating a cookie plate in Santa’s Satellite Workshop on Saturday.

Tickets for “Time with Santa” are $10 per child or $25 max. per family and include a professional picture with Santa. (If you are not a parishioner and would like to make a reservation, or have questions, contact Lina at 845.240.5631)
