Master Gardener Talks Container Gardening at Danbury Library on May 17

Do want to have stunning planters on your deck or front door that you can proudly say you put together yourself?  Join fellow gardeners at “Container Gardening: What’s hot in 2018” with Master Gardener, Michele MacKinnon, on Thursday, May 17th from 6:00-7:15pm.  The program will be held at the Danbury Museum, located at 43 Main Street.

Container gardening continues as a hot trend in 2018 and the green industry is responding with new and exciting products and plants.  Attendees will learn about appropriate containers, how to add zing to their plant combinations, how to create multi-season containers using design “recipes,” and how to sustain lush container displays like those you see at garden centers.   A list of books and other resources will be provided.

Michele MacKinnon is a UCONN Advanced Master Gardener from Sherman, CT who enjoys sharing her gardening knowledge with others. She is writing a landscape   design book for D-I-Y homeowners who want simple, affordable advice to enhance their outdoor spaces.

The program is free.  Registration is required online at danburylibrary.org, click on “calendar” or call 203.797.4505, x 7730.

The Danbury Library is located at 170 Main Street, Danbury, CT
