The Thrill of the Orchestra! Danbury Symphony Orchestra Young People's Concert, May 12th

The Danbury Music Centre presents the Danbury Symphony Orchestra's annual Young People’s Concert.  This family-friendly concert is sure to please the young and the young at heart.

Under the direction of Ariel Rudiakov, The DSO will be joined by the Danbury Centre Strings, under the direction of Glen Lebetkin.

The winner of the Student Concerto Competition, Alison Shively, will perform the first movement of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D Major Op. 35. 

The DSO will also perform Russell Peck’s, The Thrill of the Orchestra an exciting work with narrator which colorfully demonstrates the instruments of the orchestra. DSO favorite, pianist, and WMNR broadcaster, Will Duchon, will join in as narrator. 

DCS will add to the concert with their usual fun style. Selections include musical highlights from Moana. 

Admission is free thanks to the generous funding of the City of Danbury and the Danbury Cultural Commission

The concert will take place on May 12 at 3:00 pm, WCSU's School of Visual and Performing Arts, 42 Lake Avenue Extension, Danbury, CT
