Suzanne Sheridan and The One Night Stand Band at the Merryall Center in New Milford

“She’s A Rebel – Fearlessly Going Where No Woman Has Gone Before!” Yes, on Saturday June 9 at 8 pm Suzanne Sheridan and ‘The One Night Stand Band’ will take the stage at the Merryall Center in New Milford to perform a concert that was originally performed in 1998 at the Unitarian Church in Westport and catapulted the Marriage Equality movement in the State of Connecticut. Turning the male rock songs of the 50’s and 60’s (and onward) into anthems for the women of today was an inspired idea 20 years ago and remains just as inspired and madly entertaining today.

Sheridan is well known to area audiences for her performances at Voices Café, the Coffeehouse at the Wheelers’ series, her Dylan tribute concert one year ago at Merryall, and her much-touted tribute concerts to Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen. This time she is pulling out the rock legends like “Pretty Woman,” “She’s A Rebel,” “Lay Down Sally,” “Maybelline,” “Devil with the Blue Dress,” “Chantilly Lace,” and many more. And she will be joined by her incomparable band with Bob Cooper on keyboards, Paul Horton on lead guitar, Jake Habegger on drums, and the one and only Joe Meo on sax and vocals.

Performance date is Saturday, June 9 with a start time of 8 pm. Tickets are available on the Merryall website at https://www.merryallcenter.orgor by calling 860-354-7264. The Merryall Center is located at 8 Chapel Hill Road in New Milford, CT.
