Seminar to be held at Danbury Library during National Medicare Education Week in September

National Medicare Education Week, September 15-21, will be acknowledged by the Danbury Library by offering a free seminar, “Understanding the Basics of Medicare” on Saturday, September 15 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.  Individuals who are aging into Medicare or already on Medicare, those who are considering retirement, and family members of those on Medicare who are trying to find answers are welcome to attend.

The seminar will be conducted by local insurance agent Elizabeth Azud from Elizabeth Azud Insurance.  Ms. Azud will speak about the A, B, C, & Ds of Medicare; Medicare Insurance Options: Medicare Supplements and Medicare Health Plans; programs to help reduce costs: “Extra Help” and Medicare Savings Program; how to determine Plan suitability and navigate through the options each year, and what an insurance Broker is and the role they should play in assisting you.

Each participant will receive a “Learning the Basics of Medicare Guide.  Refreshments will be provided courtesy of Elizabeth Azud Insurance.
